Well, generally speaking, it is not good for teenagers to wear contact lenses. We can also say it is dangerous to have contact lenses for teenagers. As we know that teenagers have eyes which have been growing in a fast speed. So if they wear contacts, it will not improve its growing, but damage the eyes' organ. Besides, eyes are so sensitive that they can be infected in a young age. And of course, there are more and more teenagers who want to be fashionable wear contacts for nice look. But in my opinion, they should not do that, or it will make them regret in future.

Yes, it is safe to wear contact lenses for teenagers if you wear it properly. There is a study called Contact Lenses in Pediatrics (CLIP) has showed that children as young as 8 years old are capable of properly inserting, removing and caring for contact lenses. And wearing contact lenses won't increase risk of contact lens-related eye problems. Since teenager are more older than a 8 years children, i think it is OK to wear contact lenses. Anyway, you shall take care of your eyes as well as your contact lenses. Or it may cause some risks of eye health.

Well, as we can see, nowadays we can find more and more teenagers of different ages wear contacts every where. Sometimes teens tend to find them convenient and make themselves glass-free, however, there is potential risk of being infected and getting red eyes, if not properly handled. Personally speaking, it would be safe for them to wear contacts , as long as they are careful and not rely on them.
