Toric contact lenses are a type of corrective lens to treat the eye condition known as astigmatism. Astigmatism is a defect that prohibits the eye from focusing sharply. Toric contact lenses are made of the same soft or rigid materials as regular contact lenses. The lenses in toric contacts differ from normal contacts by offering two curvatures at different angels to compensate for astigmatism and for either nearsightedness or farsightedness. Toric contact lenses are also made to keep the contact lens stable on the eye to prevent movement when blinking or moving the eye. So, it makes you fell just like normal contacts. But you still should attention to the axially. And if your astigmatism is less than 0.75, you needn't toric contacts. Normal contacts are also fit for you.

Yes, it does. The toric lenses are designed for people who have astigmatism. Though the materials are similar to the regular contact lenses, it not only corrects astigmatism, but also deals with people's vision problem. However, the regular contact lenses are only dealing with hyperopia or myopia. And the quality of the toric lens is higher than the normal ones. Hence, its price is more expensive than the normal contact lenses and it's worth.
