I have a regular prescription for glasses which I haven't gotten made yet. It's actually a few months old, I just didn't have the money to invest and was using my old glasses. Now, with my old glasses I am having to strain when i look at the computer. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to computer glasses. Do I need a different prescription to get computer glasses or can I use the prescription I have and tell Lenscrafters to make them computer glasses?

if your prescription is the newest and less than half a year ,you don't need a different prescription . You feel strain when you look at the computer wearing the old glasses cuz the distance when we see the computer and far is different ,which means the focus change .so your eyes have to adjust to that distance . you can use the prescription and tell your opticians to make computer glasses for you . if your prescription changes , it is better to have an eye exam .

I think you'd better get a new prescription. A accurate prescription is quite important. The newest one is better. Prescription computer glasses will help you make you see clearly and protect your eyes. For the sake of your eyes, go and get your newest prescription.
