I have difficulty reading newspaper and computer with my progressive glasses?

I just switched from my distance glasses to progressive glasses. I found that it works fine when I read something in bold letters or big font but when I am reading newspaper or working on computer then its very difficult. Is this common for progressive lenses?

Make sure your prescription is correct first. Then you need time to get used to them because it is hard for you to find the right spot in the level of the lens to read in the beginning.

Maybe you haven't find the right zone for reading or computing work. If your prescription is right, you just need time to get used to it.
