I am planning to get a pair of 20% grey gradient tinted prescription sunglasses. But I don't know whether the tinted sunglasses that is 20% grey can make the things darker if I see through them. Can anyone have tinted glasses before? What's your experience?

No. 20% grey gradient tinted sunglasses won't make the colors you see darker. As we all know, the best color for the sunglasses is grey. Some people think that the darker the lens of the sunglasses is, the better it will be becasue less light will get in to damage the eyes. It is said that you can still see very well with 10% to 12% of light only. However, the best is the 20% grey gradient tinted sunglasses which can let you see well without darkening the colors you see.

Sunglasses lenses with grey color can cut down on overall brightness without distorting colors. And grey tinted sunglasses are intended primarily to cut through the glare and reduce eyestrain in moderate-to-bright conditions.

It won't. You needn't worry about this question. Besides, 20% grey gradient tint is really are very light tint that won't change the color of things. Even though you wear 80% grey gradient tinted sunglasses, you can see the original shape and color. Of course, wearing too dark sunglasses reduce the shinning light meanwhile make primary colors look darker.
