Sunglasses that claim themselves to be 100% UV protection should have a label on them that says either "UV 400" or "100% UV Protection". So when you go to choose sunglasses, make sure to see the label on the sunglasses to see whether they have 100% UV protection. You can get any kind of sunglasses as long as they have a label saying "UV 400" or "100% UV protection".

Most sunglasses have UV protection to some degree. But if the lens is marked poycarbonate or polarized, it can give 100% UV protection. Many cheap sunglasses use a material called triacetate which can absorbs only about 40 percent of the UV rays. So to make sure your sunglasses give 100% UV protection, you'd better purchase them from reputable companies.
