Is the UV protection in a prescription lens enough to protect our eyes?

I just wonder if the UV protection coating in a prescription lens is enough to protect our eyes,or do I still need sunglasses?

That will depend on whether they have full UV protection. A prescription glasses lens can be made with UV protection, in which the special materials are used to protect UV rays. Whether the prescription glasses with UV protection can fully protect your eyes depends on the index of UV protection of the lens. If the lens is made of UV400, then it will block all the UV rays and protect your eyes completely.
