How long usually does an eye exam cost?

I had an eye exam for my new contaats and the whole process lasts only about 20 minutes and my doctor kept watching his watch, doesn't he missed some important steps?

20 minutes is enough to finish the eye exam not including the waiting time unless you need glasses or contacts and have to select them, then a little longer.Sometimes it will only take 10-15 minutes .He kept looking at his watch and the clock possibly because he had an appoint with another one . Don't worry about that .
