Is photophobia painful? Does anyone know about this?

Yes, sometimes, photophobia can be painful for patient though there is no pain in the eyes. In common, the obvious symptoms of photophobia is sensitive to light. Besides, people may also feel discomfort in the eyes. Some patient even got burning and excessive tearing because of photophobia. In order to focus something, people have to squint their eyes. If you have photophobia, you'd better shield your eyes with sunglasses.
