  • What kind of insurance covers a dry eye exam?

Does anyone know that what kind of insurance covers a dry eye exam?

Well, your situation seems to be just a regular eye exam. I think your vision insurance will certainly cover your dry eye exam. You know, dry eye is also regarded as a common eye disease. But to be safe, you had better check your medical insurance first. You may consult your eye doctor first. I think an vision exam should include a dry eye exam. Don' t worry, your doctor will test your dry eyes.

According to what I know, I think there is no insurance can cover your dry eye exam. Don' t you know that medicare doesn' t cover regular eye exam. Mentioning this, I think a dry eye exam may belong to that. You have to pay for your dry eye exam yourself. If I don' t get wrong, I think medicare only covers a common eye exam, eyeglasses and contacts. It is very clear that they are not for your eye problems. To make you understand better, let me set some examples for you: when you get blurry vision, red eyes dry eyes or some other eye problems, you can only pay for what you need, The insurance will definitely not cover those. But when you plan to get a pair of new glasses for yourself, you can use your insurance then. Is that clear?
