There are many causes for eye boogers in children. These causes include: blocked tear duct, allergic conjunctivitis, viral conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis, foreign objects in eyes and corneal abrasion. Some causes are benign while the others will lead to serious problems. For example, bacterial associated boogers can result in serious problems like blepharitis. Too much eye boogers can be one of the symptoms of cold or flu. In this case, the boogers are usually thin, clear and less-crusty. This kind of boogers will disappear as soon as the cold or flu has gone. There are home remedies that can help your child. You can apply warm compresses, for they can loosen the discharges. Massaging is also favorable for treating. You can do the massaging downward on the lids to remove the excessive discharges. If the home remedies are not effective, ask your doctor for help.

I think your child may get inflamed because of hot weather, you can let him drink more water and eat more fruits and vegetable. Please don't take this lightly, if your child still excrete too much eye boogers, taking him to see a doctor right now. Because conjunctivitis can cause eye boogers, so pay attention to all the symptoms of your child and let him receive timely treatment if there is something wrong with your child.

It is not normal for your child to have too much eye boogers which may be caused by the invisible bacterium or the bad habit of diet. You could use the clean cloth to soap in the warm water and then squeeze it. At last, you could use the cloth to wipe your child's eyes. You'd better let him eat more food with vitamin C to moisture the eyes. If then the eye boogers are not disappeared, you could take your child to the hospital to have a check.
