I know that pink eyes is contagious. So, how can it spread? Can pink eyes spread through food?

Well, in my opinion, pink eye cannot spread through foods, so you do not need to worry about it. First, you should know that pink eye is a kind of eye infection which can just lead to redness in your eyes. Also, itchy eyes, burning eyes can be very common. Of course, pink eye is severely contagious and can spread through indirect contact and direct contact. According to some researches, pink eye can be spread indirectly. By the way, the infection can also spread from one eye to the other by rubbing or touching one eye and then rubbing or touching the unaffected eye. But there is no evidence which shows that it can spread through foods.
