Generally speaking, it is not very often that a hamster could give humna beings pink eyes. Hamsters are like any other kind of pet and there are indeed some diseases that can be transferred to human beings, however it is very unlikely to happen as long as you raise the hamsters in a normal way. If you give the hamster the proper care and nutrition, a small pet such as a hamster would not transfer anything contagious to you. On the other hand, if you have found out that the hamster got sick or has something wrong, you had better take it to the vet to see what is going on to the hamster, in case that the disease may be going to affect on the human body.
