Yes, it is possible that too low a level of potassium ion may lead to dark circles. The normal level of the concentration of potassium ion in the body of human beings is 3.5 to 5.5. If you find your level of potassium ion is lower than that, you had better consult your doctor about it to see what the exact cause of it is. There are several reasons for low level of potassium ion. It may be the inadequate intake of potassium ion which is caused by inadequate intake of foods. It can also be diarrhea, vomiting, gastrointestinal decompression or digestive tract fistula which can lose plenty of digestive juice leading to lack of potassium ion. As long as there is water drained out of the human body, there will be lose of potassium ion. Therefore, you can take in more foods that are rich in potassium ion, such as vegetables to supplement the potassium ion. Besides, there are several other reasons for dark circles, such as lack of good and adequate rest or sleep, which is a critical criminal to your dark circles. Therefore, developing a regular habit of sleep and rise is very essential. In addition, you can as well use some eye cream to spread on the skin under the eyes, two or three times a day, which can effectively remove or reduce the dark circles.

Hello, there have so many reasons can cause dark circles, not only when you low in potassium. Overworking, don't have a regular bedtime and kidney don't health, they are all can cause dark circles. Form my experience, the first you need to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, for example, banana ,buckwheat, corn and sweet potatoes, they are all high in potassium. The second, you need to make a regular bedtime, ensure you gain adequate sleep and rest. If you can do according to what I said, I believe you will get better soon.
