  • Can low sodium cause blurry vision ?

I heard that low sodium can lead to blurry vision. Really? How can sodium affect our vision?

Well, yes, low sodium can be very bad for your body health. And in some cases, it can also affect your eyes, leading to some eye problems, such as blurry vision. For the blurry vision, you should know that it occurs, when you look at objects, and cannot see it clearly, but on the other hand, you see a single blurry and unclear image of an object. And that can be very dangerous when you are driving or walking outside. By the way, because of low sodium, it may lead to eye infection in your eyes too. So just be careful about it.

No, low sodium won't cause blurred vision. When there is too much fluid staying in a person's body, diluting the sodium inside him, sodium deficiency may occur. The symptoms of low sodium include fatigue, vomiting, nausea, and coma. It has nothing to do with blurred eyes. In a word, low sodium doesn't affect our vision and eyes at all.

As we know, sodium is involved in the metabolism of water and ensure the water balance in the body. So people will feel faint, tired, thirsty, nauseous, anorectic and so on. Generally speaking, low sodium won't have bad effect on the vision except when you feel light-headache. Because of lacking of sodium you may get blurry eyes temporarily. Please take it easy.
