How do you know if you're allergic to contacts?

I read online that there are some people can't wear contact lenses. Because they are allergic to contacts. So, i just want to know how can they know if they're allergic to contact lenses?

And these plastic materials can just be the irritants in your eyes, leading to some eye problems, such as eye allergy.
