No, I see no connection between jaundice and eye discharge. Jaundice is due to the bilirubin built up in the blood, which comes from the breaking down of old red blood cells. Because bilirubin is processed by liver, and it would be delievered into small intestine with bile and finally be excreted from body in feces. If people got jaundice, it probably caused by livery or gall problem. It is better to have an examination in hospital to find out the root. As to eye discharge, it might be related to eye infections, allergies or other eye problem. I recommend you to wash your eyes with water or saline solution.

Well, yes, it is normal to have eye discharges, when you have jaundice. So you need to pay more attention to it. On the other hand, eye discharge can also be caused by allergies, bacteria, makeup, and chemicals. So you just need to be careful about those factors too. For your situation, you may need to schedule an appointment with your primary care physician. He or she can take your temperature, a history of your symptoms, and examine your eyes. Just go and have a look.

Also, you can remove oil from your eyelids by washing them with a baby shampoo or other mild detergent.
