Eye puffiness is a type of fluid build-up in the tissues around your eyes, called the orbits. People also often called eye bags. The causes of puffy eyes are various. Oversleeping or sleep deprivation, alcohol and tobacco use, skin disorders and allergies all may cause puffy eyes. Mineral oil is good for puffy eyes. A mineral oil is any of various colorless, odorless, light mixtures of alkanes in the C15 to C40 range from a non-vegetable (mineral) source, particularly a distillate of petroleum. Mineral oil often uses in baby lotions, cold creams, ointments and cosmetics, which can help with keep soften skin, wipe off wrinkles and swellings, even getting long and thick eyelashes. So you can reduce swellings under eyes by massaging mineral oil. And a low-carb diet can prevent eye puffiness by preventing water retention. Eating foods rich in vitamins, especially A, C and E, helps to reduce eye puffiness and to maintain clear, moist skin.

It seems that you just got some puffy eyes, which might make you appear less attractive. Anyway, that was resulted from lots of reasons, such as lack of sleep, red eyes, bad use of your eyes, etc. In my opinion, mineral oil is mainly used to wash off your makeup, which could do little thing with your puffy eyes, so you'd better find another way. You could try to get more rest with some vitamins and eye drops with the help of the doctor.

I am sorry, mineral oil has little effect on puffy eyes. But there are many solutions to eliminate puffy eyes, the most simple way is covering your eyes with ice or frozen milk for a few minutes, it is also the fastest way. If you want the puffy eyes never bothers you, keeping a good diet is the best choice. I want to introduce you few dishes such as mulberry porridge, liver egg congee and so on. However, the most important thing is not drinking too much water before sleeping.
