Can blepharitis be cured? Or it will affect me in the rest of my life? Any idea?

Blepharitis may be a chronic, ongoing condition, more or less permanent , or may come and go. In many cases, blepharitis is a common condition that can be controlled but not cured . The single most important treatment principle is a daily routine of lid margin hygiene. Apply a warm wet compress to the lids. for 5 to 10 minutes two to four times a day, depending on the degree of symptoms.Other ways are: keeping your eyes clean; oral antibiotics ; stetoid eyedrops; ; antibiotic creams .

Blepharitis is a common eyelid inflammation which often has two different forms----anterior blepharitis and posterior blepharitis. If you suffer blepharitis, you can have the symptoms of burning, flaking, crusting, tearing, irritation, itching, redness in eyelid margins and a foreign body sensation. A total cure of blepharitis has not been proved yet but you don't need get worried too much because there exists ways of alleviating it. Good eyelid hygiene and prescription medicine are strongly recommended to treat blepharitis which can help you in the long run. And you can also apply warm compresses and lid massages to the eye which can help alleviate it. Additional advices to you are not wearing contact lenses and eye make-up in the process of treating blepharitis.

Don't worry...One of my friend was diagnosed with the same thing many years ago. Just make sure you wash your eyes each night and you will get it under control. She has been wearing make-up and contacts and have no problem. But don't let up on the eye wash.
