Vitamins are important in eye health, but so far there is no resource proving vitamin deficiency would lead to glaucoma, so there is no such treatment to glaucoma with vitamins. Glaucoma refers the increased intraocular pressure, caused by imbalance of aqueous humor production and drainage. Normally at the beginning stage, patients doesn't have any feelings or pain in eyes from glaucoma. The increased intraocular pressure can only be tested by detailed examination. To help your eyes with glaucoma, vitamins do not work. You should have a light diet, rich in nutritions. Stay away from caffeine or smoking which would increase the pressure. Have a healthy and regular life with moderate exercises. Stay in a happy mood.

Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged in a characteristic pattern, which has a deep and permanent effect on vision. The nerve damage involves loss of retinal ganglion cells in a characteristic pattern. Glaucoma usually caused by dietary, genetics, ethnicity and gender. Because of the relationship of glaucoma with age, other associated factors affecting balance may also be present. Vitamins help glaucoma indeed. We can eat fresh fruits, and vegetables to take vitamins supplements. Some vitamins can work for eye sight, such as vitamin D and E. Some are good for puffy eyes and dry eyes, for instance vitamin C and vitamin A. In addition, not only vitamins can help with glaucoma, but also surgery and medicines are always do good to it. Canaloplasty is a non-penetrating procedure using micro-catheter technology. Argon laser trabeculoplasty (ALT) may be used to treat open-angle glaucoma.
