It is true that children are more susceptible to pink eyes because of their low immune system, and it is also possible that adults are infected by children. Pink eye is contagious, so pink eye can occur in people of any age. We all know that pink eye is an eye inflammation of the membranes, and the redness will cover the whites of the eyes and the membranes on the inner part of the eyelids. Usually pink eyes are infected by a wide range of bacteria, viruses, allergy-provoking agents, irritants, toxic agents and underlying diseases within the body. Symptoms of pink eye caused by bacteria occur rapidly and can cause eye pain, swelling, itching, redness, etc. But good hygienic practices can help prevent the transmit of infectious pink eye. Therefore, to avoid contact with your infected children, you should disinfect of household surfaces, not share the washing basin, towels and so on, wash your hands frequently when contact with your children. A home remedy to relieve pink eye symptoms is to apply a cold, wet washcloth to the eyes several times a day meanwhile use prescribed antibiotic eye drops or ointments for pink eye treatment.

Pink eyes is the most common eye problem kids can have. Many people get pink eyes in both eyes at the same time, and pink eyes may start in one eye. Both children and adults can get pink eyes as a result of viral conjunctivitis or allergic conjunctivitis. Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis are highly contagious. They spread direct contact with infected eye secretions, or contact with objects or surface that have been contaminated with these eye secretions. So kid's pink eye can transmit to adults. And adults, especially parents and teachers who spend a lot of time with kids can get pink eyes.
