Peripheral vision is important for corrections officer. The corrections officer must not only have the ability to see clearly objects and surroundings for 36 inches or closer but also have the ability to see clearly objects and surroundings for six feet or further away.What's more, they must have the ability to tell the difference between two or more colors.
