I am 22 yrs old and just currently started getting eye floaters. At first they didn't really bother me but as I went outside I noticed them more especially looking at the sky they look like cobwebs & little clumps I did notice that they got worse. I have seen 2 different eye drs they dialated my eyes & did a Retina exam they said everything looked fine no retina detachment or holes thank God but I'm still wondering why I'm getting these floaters it worries me because I'm so young & I've read that mostly older people get them. I'm scared that I will go blind I think about it everyday and yes I'm starting to get use to them since I have no choice but I really pray that they just eventually go away. Is it possible if the drs checked me saying my eyes were fine that I can still go blind?? I'm super worried about this.

Eye floaters are spots in the vision. And they are often happen to people with some vision problems such as myopia or presbyopia etc. Also, some middle aged people may also suffer it. They are usually come and go and harmless. But if you noticed that the eye floaters increase suddenly and sharply, especially accompanied with flashes, it may be a bad sign for your eyes. It is possibly caused by retinal tear. But you said you got a Retina exam and they said everything looked fine. So, don't worry. Maybe it is just a accident. Anyway, if you want to make sure if your eyes are fine, you can take a retina exam again by other eye doctors. If they give you they give you the same answer, it will convince you that your eyes are Ok. Good luck.

Usually people with eye floaters are old. Because of the old age and the physiological feature, people will easily get eye floaters. Your situation may be caused by your bad habit of using your eyes. You may spend a lot of time in front of the computers. Your eyes may get infection because of invisible bacterium, bad environment or other things. In a word, you should not ignore the eye floaters in the eyes which may cause other eye problems. You should protect the eyes carefully. From the diet, you'd better take more food with vitamin C to moisture your eyes. You should not eat the spicy food which may stimulate your eyes and make your eyes get clear at the vision.
