  • How long does it take to adjust to bifocal contact lenses?

I got a pair of bifocal contact lenses from my son. But it is not comfortable when i wear it. And he told me it needs sometime to get used to it. So, how long does it take to adjust to bifocal contact lenses?

Just obeying the normal adapted time, you may get used to wearing it for a week. If you are the first wearer, you need to wear them two hours the first day. Then four hours a day. Every day you need to add two more hours until you get used to it. Then you'd better not wear it for more than 8 hours.

Well, how nice of you to have received a pair of contact lenses from your son. Actually, they will enable you to see things clearly from different distances. However, they are just new stuff that you have never tried before you see? Therefore, it is natural for you to feel uncomfortable at first. Typically speaking, it takes about a couple of days to adjust. Meantime, you should wear less until you feel alright.
