Why do contact lenses for Astigmatism cost more than normal contact lenses?

I find the contact lenses for astigmatism are usually more expensive than normal contact lenses, why?

Toric soft lenses are used to correct astigmatism because they have special powers in different meridians of the lens. One is for astigmatism, the other is for nearsighted or farsighted. This kind of contacts are specially designed to keep it from swiveling during blinks and eye movements. So toric lenses usually cost more than normal contact lenses because they have a more complicated design than others.
