Do non-prescription reading glasses work for distance?

I have fairly good vision but I still have problem in reading the words writing on the board. I wonder if I get non-prescription reading glasses, would they work for distance?

No, the non-prescription reading glasses will not work for distant seeing cuz they are designed for a certain distance which is about 10 inches. Also Non prescription reading glasses are made with the same power in both lenses. They are suitable for people whose eyes have the same power in both eyes. However, most people have different unique prescription. So it is better for you to have an eye exam and get the prescription reading glasses for distance based on your prescription.
