  • Can Eye Floaters Be Removed with Surgery?

I have some eye floaters in my vision for nearly half a year. They don't go away on their own. I am just wondering whether I can apply surgery to treat eye floaters. Any suggestion?

Dear friend, if you are just suffering from a few eye floaters, you needn't apply surgery to treat them. Eye floaters are a common phenomenon among most of us and it will not cause big problems to our daily life. You just need to learn to ignore them. You can eat more green leafy vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamins to help with your eyes. And this will help relieve your symptoms too if you keep a healthy diet daily.

Eye floaters can be removed with surgery. But I still suggest you to have your eye floaters diagnosed to see whether you are suffering from some diseases such as retinal detachment, retinal tears, bleeding. If the medical treatment can't help with your problems, you can apply the surgeries used in removing eye floaters. But only about five percent of these cases need surgery to remove floaters.
