Can you explain how astigmatism can cause double vision?
I can always see double image of a single object and my doctor said it was caused by astigmatism. I just can't understand how astigmatism cause double vision.
If you have astigmatism, your cornea will look like the shape of football which is flatter along one meridian and steeper along another meridian. So the misshape of the cornea will stretch out images and cause double vision.
